R.A.W – Reading Awareness Week April 10th to 13th
A new initiative is coming to Brooksbank!  The staff, librarians and PAC have put their heads together for a new exciting literacy event for the kids.  We would like Brooksbank to celebrate learning, reading and books with some classroom activities and a fundraising element to raise money for the school library.
There will be reading activities and fun throughout the week, including a read-a-thon across Canada, bookmark exchange, buddy reading and a whole-school-story writing events.  On Thursday 13th, we will celebrate the week with a costume parade and assembly beginning at 11:30, parents are welcome.

Buying and Swapping Books:

Graphic Novel/Comic Swap:
  • Tuesday at recess
  • in the library
  • bring one, take one

PAC Book Sale:
  • Open for business before school, during lunch and after school on both days in the gym
  • Books will be priced at $1, $2 and $5
  • Any books left over will be donated
