About:

Born and raised in North Vancouver, David lives with his wife Eran, step-daughter Miya, and twin daughters Brook and Emma.
David grew up and attended Ridgeway Elementary School and then Sutherland Secondary School.  An interesting story about attending Ridgeway Elementary, David's father and grandfather also attended the same Elementary school.  In fact, David had two of the same teachers that his father Bill had when he attended Ridgeway.
Following graduation, David worked with the North Vancouver School Board for three years working with Special Needs children.  During his first year, David worked one on one with a little boy with Tourette's Syndrome.  At the end of the school year, the little boy lost funding for support and his position was eliminated.  David took a full time contract at Windsor Secondary School working in the Special Needs Resource Room.  At the end of two years at Windsor, David left the NVSD to pursue his post secondary schooling.
In 1995, David began his post secondary studies attending Capilano College where he was a student athlete playing for the Men's Soccer team for three years.  During his second season, both the Men's and Women's soccer teams won the Provincial and National titles in Kingston, Ontario.

After three years attending Capilano College, he transferred schools due to Capilano College eliminated the Kinesiology program.  In September 1998 David was accepted into Langara College Human Kinetics program and then transferred to the University of Lethbridge participating as a student athlete playing for the Men's Varsity Soccer team for two years.  David graduated from the University of Lethbridge in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.  One of David's most influential courses was Education 2500, this is because it offered him an opportunity to spend twice a week in a grade one classroom observing and instructing.
Returning home after University David pursued firefighting and health and safety.  In 2004, David graduated from Kilgore Community College Fire Academy with his Level One and Two Firefighting.  While living in Texas studying, David volunteered for the Flint-Gresham Fire Department where he participated in the Bunk In Program.  David worked next for Sonora Resorts as the Safety Officer.  There he was responsible for the Sonora Fire Brigade, first aid, and training. David spent three and half years at Sonora, enjoying the beautiful scenery and wildlife.

Next, David worked at Pacific Elevators Viterra located on the south side of the Port of Vancouver.  He was employed at the Elevator for 7 years until he was accepted into Simon Fraser University's PDP Teaching program

In September 2016, David graduated with a Bachelor of Education degree focusing on Elementary Education, David began his career with the North Vancouver School District as a Trained Teacher on Call (TTOC) in September of 2016.  Currently, David is working at Brooksbank Elementary School in a grade 5/6 class.
